WHALE WATCHING
From mid July to October each year, Hervey Bay is the only place in the world that the humpbacks break their migration for a few days of rest and relaxation before they continue their journey to Antarctic waters. Each year there are more whales appearing in the bay and they seem to enjoy their people watching as much as we enjoy whale watching.
Whales are not the only sea life to be seen. Dolphins, Turtles, Rays, and Dugong's also inhabit this sheltered bay.
FRASER ISLAND
World heritage listed Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world. The beautiful rainforests, fresh water lakes, sand dunes and beaches can be enjoyed and explored in many different ways.
Join a fully catered tour of 1, 2 or 3 days, or hire a four-wheel drive vehicle to explore by yourself.
Hervey Bay Marina (which is 500 metres from our front gate) is the departure point for Fraser Island.
HERVEY BAY
Hervey Bay itself has 14 kms of sheltered sandy beaches, making it the perfect place to swim, snorkel, fish, dive, parasail, kayak or sail. Many people do not realize that corals can be viewed in the bay by day or by night from a glass bottomed boat.
LADY ELLIOT ISLAND
